Creative collaborations are common in the Northeast and old mills are a great place for them to develop. These collaborations need websites for a variety of purposes. WordPress is an excellent platform for a collaboration website.
Makers’ Mill Collaboration Website
Makers’ Mill, the North Adams Makerspace, is a space for creative collaboration to foster new learning opportunities and build a community around a shared passion for making. The Makers’ Mill team contacted us to design and build their website and needed it done quickly in time for their grand opening. We designed a mobile friendly site that a used macro images of their mediums to create a colorful and contemporary look and feel. The home page was designed to focus on the many events they plan to have and uses The Events Calendar to create a dynamic visual representation of their upcoming events and classes. We also used Gravity Forms to create a custom Join form that links to their Pay Pal account and allows members to pay and join easily. All the join information is routed to a Google Spreadsheet automatically where the Makers’ Mill team can view and edit it collaboratively.
